This Privacy Policy describes how Zodiaq ("we," "us," or "our"), operated at https://www.zodiaq.codes, collects, uses, stores, and protects your personal information when you use our website, applications, and services (collectively, the "Service").

1. Information We Collect

Account Information

When you register, we collect your email address, full name, and password (stored in hashed form). Authentication is managed through Supabase Auth, our identity provider.

Birth Chart Data

To generate astrology reports, we collect birth date, birth time, birth location (longitude and latitude), gender, and any names you provide for naming analysis. This data is stored in Supabase PostgreSQL databases with row-level security enabled.

Payment Information

Purchases are processed by Stripe, Inc. We receive transaction confirmations and the email address used at checkout, but we never store, process, or have access to your full credit card number, CVV, or bank account details. Payment details are processed by Stripe and are not stored directly by Zodiaq. Stripe's privacy policy governs payment data handling: https://stripe.com/privacy.

All purchases are final and non-refundable once completed. See our Refund Policy for details on digital products and technical delivery support.

Usage Data

We may collect basic usage data such as pages visited, device and browser type, approximate location, referral source, and events like signup, checkout start, purchase complete, and feature usage. We use Google Analytics or Google Tag Manager for site analytics when enabled.

We do not intentionally send birth data, private questions, or report text to Google Analytics. Our analytics setup is designed to track product usage without exposing sensitive reading content.

Communications

If you contact us by email, we retain your message content and contact details to respond to your inquiry.

2. How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To calculate birth charts and generate personalized reports
• To process subscriptions and billing through Stripe
• To enforce plan limits (questions, profiles) per your subscription tier
• To send transactional emails (account confirmation, receipts, password resets)
• To respond to support requests
• To improve and secure the Service
• To comply with legal obligations

We do not sell your personal information or birth chart data to third parties. We do not use your data for targeted advertising based on metaphysical profile content.

3. Data Storage and Security

Account and app data may be stored in Supabase (PostgreSQL hosted on AWS). We implement row-level security policies, encrypted connections (TLS/SSL), and access controls limiting data access to authenticated users for their own records. While we employ industry-standard security measures, no method of transmission or storage is 100% secure.

4. Data Retention

We retain your account and birth chart data for as long as your account is active. You may delete your account at any time from Account settings. When you delete your account, we remove or anonymize personal reading details promptly. Payment records may be kept where required for tax, fraud prevention, or financial compliance.
